Playing with Gramma

ZOO PICTURES

zoo continued...

hey everybody,

So I went to the surgeons on Monday. He suggested that I wait until my symptoms worsened, before performing a biopsy. He is hoping that my symptoms will just go away and that it was a one time thing. Well, I really have no choice but to wait, seeing as my insurance ends this month. Both my mothers (Tami and Bev), are really wanting me to get a second opinion, which I totally agree with. I just don't have time to start from scratch with another physician before my insurance is gone. So I am kinda stuck. I will have insurance in January. So hopefully the symptoms don't worsen too much before then.

Emma and I have been SO sick :( I don't know what we have, just a really bad case of the flu??!!?? But it sucks and it has really been the perfect way to end a perfect month (no sarcasm there.lol.) But the way I see it, this has been such a SUCKIE MONTH and that means that September is going to rock! The universe has to keep a balance and so hopefully my life will get back on track and happier days are coming my way!

On a different note, while visiting with family last week; we did some cool stuff. First, we stayed in my sister's dorm in downtown Seattle. There's nothing quite like waking up to the smell of Pike Place Market's FISH!!! Yuck! We went to woodland park zoo, and Emma LOVED it. Then we visited Gramma Tami and Papa Paul. Tami was squirting Emma with the hose and Emma got completely soaked! I spent time with long lost friends and family...sorry guys for not visiting more often. Then we headed home.

This last Wednesday, Brian and I went to a 3 Doors Down, Staind and Hinder concert at the wamu theatre in Seattle. It was a lot of fun. However, probably would have been more fun if I wasn't so sick. I bought the tickets for Brian as a fathers day gift. I think it was perfect timing we needed to get out, just the two of us.

Tonight, I am going out with some girlfriends. Seeing as I am sick (and not a drinker) I am going to be the DD. I tryed to get out of it, because I am sick but Sonya is not having it. She is forcing me to go...it should be fun. We are going to a salsa club in Yakima. I am TERRIFIED! I CANT DANCE! I look like an idiot anytime I try...I cant keep a beat to save my life. But everyone else will be drunk so hopefully they wont notice my bad dance moves. lol.

I will post pictures soon. Lots of fun ones from the zoo!

Hey Loved Ones...

Hello everyone,

This is Allie, I just returned home after spending the week with my family. As most of you know, I have been having a difficult time lately. I truly appreciate all the kind words and encouragement from everyone.

While I was away at my mothers house. I received a phone call from my doctor. He told me that he received my lab results along with the mammogram films and ultrasound prints. He told me that he found something, however he wouldn't elaborate. I have an appointment with a general surgeon on Monday the 25Th. I will probably get a biopsy of my breast and then, possibly surgery. I'm not really even positive of what I have going on with me, however the surgeon should answer all my questions on my appointment.

Hopefully, this is nothing...however it has been a struggle to stay positive.

Needing to vent...

I am really needing to vent! So I figured this would be the place to do it.

So my stressful week began last Thursday. I noticed a forest green discharge from my left breast. (BY THE WAY, THIS IS ALLIE, NOT BRIAN.lol.). I know; super gross right. Well, I called my doctor and he told me that I need to come into his office as soon as possible. So I moved some things around and came in the following morning. He took samples of the discharge...so horribly embarrasing! And then he asked me tons of questions and followed up the appointment with a breast exam. Thats when he noticed the lump. He told me that I needed to go to the hospital for a mammogram and ultrasound of my left breast.

This morning I went to the hospital for the tests. The nurses and radiologists kept whispering amoungst themselves and circling a large dark blob on the ultrasound screen. All that they could legally tell me was that my doctor will get ahold of me within the next 3 days or so.

I am kinda freaking out. I already had to wait the whole weekend and now I have to wait up to 3 more days...aaaaahhhh! I just want to know what it is and if I am going to be okay. I would LOVE to hear good news, and I CAN handle bad news...its just the NOT KNOWING that is really hard for me.

So for whomever is reading this...I really only wrote this for myself to vent. I am not trying to alarm anyone.

much love,
Allie & family

End of a busy week...

WOW, what a week it has been. I am thankful to learn that we are not the only people that have had a difficult time keeping up with the blogs. (Diane I totally know what your talking about...however, with THREE kiddies, I would probably NEVER find the TIME...you amaze me at what you can accomplish!)

Okay, so last Saturday was my girls night. My cousin and sister drove over the mountains and stayed the weekend. It was a lot of fun seeing them, and acting goofy. We went out to eat, and enjoyed the sunny weather.

Then on Monday, we moved to our new apartment. It is located directly below our old apartment...what a move, lol. I am trying to adjust to hearing people walk above my head. Other than that, we LOVE our new place. All the little things we hated about our old apartment...has been fixed. Softer carpets, no scary balcony for Emma to fall off of, and many other little things that would sound silly if I wrote them, but they mean so much to Brian and I. (EXAMPLE: location of heater, and lightswitches, we were so excited!)

On Tuesday, we cleaned up our old apartment and finished with the moving process.

On Wednesday, we were completely unpacked and we hosted a game night with JOEY, ERIC and JACOB, we played the wii fit...so much fun! Its fun to watch grown men do hoola-hoop contests with no hoola-hoop.

On Thursday, Brian and I watched the 3 little boys I nanny for, so that the parents could get alone time.

Yesterday, Brian, Emma and I went to JACOB's and watched a movie, Gabriele, its a religious movie, well kinda, it had lots of action.

So after this long week Brian and I will be home relaxing all weekend. If anyone wants to talk...go ahead and give us a jingle.

much love,
