Our Lovely Lady,

Emma is growing into a seriously beautiful little girl. I am terrified!!! lol. She is such a little doll. We love you so much, sweetheart. I just had to take some candids of my princess today. She looked so cute with her hair and monkey shirt.

Is it possible to have too many good things in your life? Is there a limit? I find myself looking at my life. From what it used to be, and how it is now. Having people in my life that love me, support me, and people that I can trust. I haven't always had that, in fact, I never did. I was surrounded by people that abused me, lied to me, and used me. And sadly, most of those people were family members.

But now, I have healthy relationships with healthy people. I never really knew that this kind of happiness could exist outside of 1950 TV shows. I can honestly say that I have never been happier. Yes, this summer has been hard, for several reasons, but the fact was that I had SO MANY INCREDIBLE PEOPLE that came to support me. I LOVE YOU all so much.

I am actually trying to become a healthier person, on the inside and out. So I have joined a new gym, I haven't missed a day of working-out, yet. I workout in the morning before anyone wakes up and again at night once they are both sleeping. That way I don't feel guilty. I have already lost 7 pounds. But I'm not doing it to lose weight, I am exercising because it makes me feel SO MUCH happier! I love it! Seriously, I wake up at 6 am everyday excited to go work-out. However, the weight loss is a major plus.

Well, looking back at how I started this blog...I seem to have gotten distracted at some point. My theoretical question was: does all good have to come to an end? I am so lucky right now, I have so much, and well so much to lose.

Hooray!!!

Today was just another day at the Smith household...until...

Emma was playing and she ran up to me and said very clearly, "Hi Mommy". Brian and I looked at eachother at the exact moment and we must have had the same expression. Jaws dropped with tears in our eyes. Shock and excitement. Wow.

She has been talking a lot more lately. She can now say clearly and know the meaning to the following words:

"NO!!" (of course)
"poopy"
"pee-pee"
"GO!" (usually said while playing horsie with dad, riding on his back.)
"one, two, three"
and now "Hi mommy".

I probably seem really silly for becoming so excited. I mean she was bound to talk sooner or later. It's just that I have been working so hard with her these past 8 months, and up until this last month or so she wasn't progressing at all, and now its like pow, she is talking. And counting.

She also has done really well with all of her new signs. I am so proud of my little princess.

Twilight

OMG! I love this series! My cousin recommended it to me and I haven't been able to put the books down. I am about 300 pages into the 3rd book. There are 4 in the series. If you don't know what Twilight is about, read it. You'll love it. Basically it's a love story with a twist. Oh, it is so good. Also, they are making a movie out of it and that will be coming out in theatres on November 21, 2008. Watch the trailer it looks like it will be a really good movie.
