Facebook Addict

I haven't visited this blog in a long time. My lovely sister-in-law Diane introduced me to Facebook, and I am a total addict now. I will leave some updates for anyone who is interested.

First, Brian and I are halfway to our AA degree's, YAY! I had a streak of A's and A-'s, but sadly I broke that streak with my last block, I recieved my first B+. I was not very happy, but I am doing really well in the classes I am taking now. Hopefully I will be able to bring my GPA back up.

Secondly, we are expecting a baby in June. We have been on the fence for over two years deciding whether or not we wanted another baby. Then we saw Emma with her little cousins Gannon and Kyla. She is so gentle and helpful with them. We know that she is going to make a great big sister. I am only 6 weeks pregnant and I feel so tired and hungry all the time. I fear that by the end of this pregnancy, astronauts will be able to see me from space.

Also, we will be moving next summer. Our apartment only allows one child per family. Plus, we are really starting to outgrow this darn place, and what I would give to have a washer and dryer...aaahhh....and a yard for the kiddos to play in...that would be great. So we are pinching and saving our pennies, and hopefully we will have enough saved by next summer to move into somewhere nice.

Emma is in preschool again this year, and she is doing great! Her speach has progressed amazingly. Emma's teachers are awesome. Last week, I went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch with her class. It was lots of fun. Next week, her class is going to dress up and go trick-or-treating around the psychology building. It should be fun. Emma is going to be a bumble bee for halloween. She is very excited.

That is pretty much everything that has been going on recently...wishing everyone the happiest of holidays...just in case I don't write before then.

Hooray!

We survived our first block of classes! Hooray! We turned our finals in yesterday, and today we have already started our next block of classes. We should have our grades by next week. I am so excited...these classes flew by! This block wont be too exciting...I am taking a critical thinking class and an essay class. BLAH BLAH! However, in our third block I will have my first psychology class, WOO HOO! We have been super busy with school, church, friends, and Emma. But somehow, we have managed to accomplish so much, and still have lots of fun.

Sidenote: SUPER excited for the 22nd!

BUSY!

Wow, I haven't posted anything on here for awhile. I am a facebook addict now.

An update:

Brian has a sucky new schedule, because one of his employees quit, he now works 6 days a week. :( We hardly see each other, but we are actually closer than ever. The separation forces us to miss each other, and we don't take our time together for granted.

Recently, nights have been spent reading, researching & writing papers; while eating pizza or some other form of unhealthy, easy to make food. We truly feel like we are in college now. We are on our 5th week and only have 9 weeks total in the classes. We are halfway done with our first block of classes.

Emma's speech is progressing amazingly! She is putting 2-3 word sentences together. She has done so well since starting her preschool classes in December. Everyday that goes by she says something new. She is in the stage of mimicking EVERYTHING you say, so we really watch what we say around her!

We have been so incredibly busy, but this is a good busy. We are not stressed, or unhappy, or grumpy. Time is flying by, but we are still accomplishing so much! I think that we have never been happier. Also, we have made lots of new friends, and despite our busy lives, we have had an amazing social life these past couple months.

EXCITING NEWS

So Brian and I FINALLY took the plunge...into college that is. We are enrolled, have our classes scheduled, and we officially start on the 6th. I am going for my bachelors in psychology and masters in counseling. Brian is going for his bachelors in computer network administrating. We are both very nervous, but also very excited. We are going to do school online at the University of Pheonix (it is accredited and actually one of the top online schools).

Everything is done, financing, scheduling, EVERYTHING. Wow, I am so excited. Just think, in 4 years we will be completely different people. We will have financial security and have careers that we are happy to go to everyday. HOORAY!

New Tattoo's

So I have my first (and last) tattoo. My foot hurts :( lol. I think they turned out pretty cute. What do you think? Emma was getting jealous of my tattoo so we deceided to get her one of her own. She loves her new tatt, and I love mine as well.

Rehab

We are in the process of getting my mom to go directly to a rehab from the hospital. It is a lot of work, and I didn't get any sleep last night. I have been really stressed and keeping myself busy with researching rehab facilities in washington state.

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

My stomache hurts...its all twisted up. This always happens to me whenever I am really stressed out. I feel like I am going to throw up. UUUUHHHH!

I received a call from my baby sister yesterday. She said that when she woke up she saw mom hunched over on a chair, and she couldn't speak. Roni called the hospital, they sent an ambulance.

When they arrived at the hospital, they ran some tests. One of the test came back positive for drug overdose. My mom took too many of her anti-anxiety pills. The doctors are trying to determine if it was intentional or accidental. My mom is slipping in a coma. I talked to her yesterday, for a little over a minute. She told me how much she loves me, and I guess that was the longest conversation she had all day yesterday.

They did a spinal tap last night. I think they are going to do some brain scans today, to see if she has any permanent damage. Right now, she is barely hanging on. I don't know if she is going to make it. I need to be there with her. The passes were closed last night for avalanche control. Hopefully Brian can get someone to cover his shift, so we can leave....

....I am freaking out. I am planning an intervention for her, once she is out of the hospital. Most of the family is going to attend.

Please send me your prayers, Pray that she will survive and pray that this was the thing that needed to happen to change her lifestyle.

I am so scared that I am going to lose my mom. April 10th will be 11 years since my dad died. I am so sad. I am also angry. How can she accidentally take so many pills? I love her so much, and I pray that she will be okay.

Picking perfume

Emma wanted to wear one of my perfumes. She took her time, and picked out Spotlight. MMMMM. That stuff smells so good. Its Courteney Cox's perfume, exclusively at Avon. Then she found her favorite blankets and we watched 500 episodes of spongebob.

Me time....

I have been so completely busy with Avon, Emma's preschool schedule, Brian's new sucky work schedule, planning a girls tattoo night, my phone is always ringing, paying off an endless pile of doctor bills, and attempting to give myself a pedicure, all while checking email and writing a blog.

I have had so much fun in the last month. I am so happy, exhausted, but truly happy. I feel like I finally have things in my life, that are just for me. I am making so many new friends. I also have been bonding with my true friends.

At the end of the month I am hosting a girls night. Me and my girlies are getting the same tattoo (that we have designed together) put onto our right foot. I am a tattoo virgin. It is going to be a fun bonding experience. I am not a fan of pain, but I think I will be able to deal with it...maybe.

Brian has agreed to take care of all of us when we are done with our tattoos. So far it is going to be me, Roni, Jami and Rose. He has the important duty of fluffing pillows, renting movies, and getting us take-out.

I am really looking forward to this.

4th Anniversary

Tomarrow will be our 4 year anniversary. Wow! Brian works all day today, and I work all day tomarrow. So I decided to drop off some pizza to Hollywood Video, and we had a pizza party. I can't believe that it has been four years since our first date. It kinda feels like it has been 10 years...is that a good thing??? lol. In April, we will have been married for 2 years.

BE MY VALENTINE

EmmaLee had her first EVER school party, valentine's day themed of course. I was so excited, I brought the camera and camcorder. But sadly I forgot to charge them. :( So I didn't get much recorded, but we did get a few pictures. I especially love the picture of one of the teachers holding a bag of fishy crackers and all the kiddies are staring it down. Super cute! I also LOVE the art project of Emma's. It was so cute on the window.

Remember when...

I was going through a bucket of old pictures. I came across one of when I was a senior in high school. I miss my long hair. :( I wish hair grew faster. I also found a picture of my baby sister and myself. We look so happy and that wasn't a regular emotion for us growing up. I was supposed to be organizing these pictures, but I guess I spent more time reminiscing.

Starting the new year off with sore muscles

Mindy and I have been working out every night for about an hour at the gym. I feel really good and energized, but I am so sore. :) I am already starting to notice a difference in my endurance...like when I first started on the eliptical I almost died after 10 minutes at an easy level. Now I can do 30 minutes easily. I haven't lost any substancial amount of weight yet, but I definately have more energy than before. I actually look forward to going to work out, even though my arms feel like they are going to fall off.

It is really nice to have exercise a part of my routine. It gives me time to myself, and it is really a super good stress reliever. Also, it has been fun getting to know Mindy better. I love ya, sis. ;)

2009 Resolutions

Happy New Year!!! I am looking forward to this year. It is a year dedicated to health and to the breaking of unhealthy habits for Brian and I. We have lots of appointments scheduled this year already. Next week we will be seeing the eye doctor, the dentist, and later this month I am going to Harborview. Emma already had her well child check-up and she is up-to-date with her immunizations. So she is set for another 6 months.

I am glad to go to the eye doctor. I need a pair of glasses. Brian broke my last pair, but thats what I get for leaving them on the floor. lol. I have a bad habit of sleeping with my contacts on, I know its gross and not healthy, but I am trying to change. That is why I want glasses, I can wear my contacts throughout the day and just throw on my glasses at night, we like to snuggle up and watch movies on the couch, and I usually just fall asleep...and that is how my bad habit started.

My Resolutions for 2009:
1. Work to have super healthy teeth, and a whiter smile. :)
2. Get more contacts and CHANGE them everyday!
3. Get a pair of cute glasses.
4. Grow out my hair.
5. Donate blood, more than last year.
6. Workout while Emma is at school.
7. Dust more often.
8. Buy a better camera.
9. Take lots of pictures of my cute family.
10. Go to UTAH!
11. Have a special weekend alone with Brian. Any babysitters??? lol.
12. Go to a mariners game on my birthday.
13. Eat at the melting pot.
14. Get a tan.
15. See family/friends more...I love you guys.
16. Start up game nights again. :)
17. Throw a fun party for my baby sisters 21st b-day
18. Take my sister to 'Wicked' on her b-day
19. Help my mom as much as I can
20. Be a happier person, and bring joy to others.

What a list...I'd better get started...
